What is Extended Producer Responsibility.
The acronym for Extended Producers Responsibility is EPR. In essence, it means that in accordance with the standards set forth by the Central Pollution Control Board, manufacturers, importers, and brand owners of items that have the potential to produce waste must choose to obtain an EPR permit. Waste products are classified into four categories under EPR regulations.
The CPCB authorities must grant EPR POINT authorization to all producers of products that are listed.
